Last night I went to a Stories that Stir event. A lady walked in half way through the first story – and even though she tried to sneak in quietly, the moment she entered, her energy swept over the room, filling it with positivity and calm; it was palbable.
It reached me in a way I felt compelled to share with her. She politely said thank you, but I wasn't sure if it actually landed with her. Then this morning I woke up to a message from her, saying "What you said to me last night about my energy was such a lovely compliment - it's really stayed with me. Thank you x"
Then I had a short conversation mid morning, with a new podcast guest, who mentioned about the impact we often have on people without realising it. It instantly brought up this comment for me that I woke up to.
It's in the nuances, the way we say something, or even just look at someone; the smiles we exchange with strangers. It brought back a memory of me walking across the Seacliff Bridge, and a couple walked towards me that seemed to be walking with such a beautiful bubble of Love and happiness around them. As they walked past me, I gave them the biggest smile and my hands formed a love heart.
It doesn't necessarily need words. I just want you to take a moment and pause to reflect: What energy do you carry around, that you spread into the world?
And what memory comes up for you, when I share this?
I believe we all have moments, that might have seemed so little at the time, yet significant enough to have stayed with you up until now.
Would you like to share one?
Or we all have that one teacher that made a big difference in our lives.
Mine was my year 1 teacher, Cornelia Guminsky, who stayed in touch with me via handwritten letters for quite some time after we moved from Germany back to Austria.
It meant the world to me, made me feel really special – and helped tremendously with my confidence and transition into a new school.
I can't even remember a word she had written.
What stayed with me was how she made me feel.
I believe we all have been on the giving and receiving end of such moments.
Today I'm sharing some of them with you to remind you to choose to be a little more open to these daily energy exchange. Sharpen your awareness around them, and share the Love, literally.
EnJOY your weekend :)
With Love,
Marie
