➡️ Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Cathy Domoney, and I’m based in South Australia, working Australia-wide and globally through this movement.

➡️ What is your life experience?

I am the Founder & CEO of The Backyard Peace Project, a global movement dedicated to helping people dissolve trauma, burnout, and the internal blocks that keep them disconnected from themselves, each other, and their true potential.

Professionally, I’ve spent over 20 years working across psychology, counselling, trauma work, leadership, education, and psychosocial safety, supporting high-achieving professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs to create real, measurable transformation in their lives and businesses.

I also lead Psychosocial Safety at Work Australia, where I support organisations to meet their WHS obligations while building cultures where people can actually thrive, not just survive.

But beyond all of that, I’m a wife of 30 years, a mum to five neurodiverse children (plus two bonus kids), and a FIFO wife, so I deeply understand the realities of pressure, responsibility, and what it takes to keep showing up when life is full.

This project is not a theory for me. It’s lived.

➡️ #3. What do you want to get out of being in this community?

I want this to become one of the most powerful, safe, and real communities in the world, where people can:

• Be seen without judgement
• Have honest conversations that actually matter
• Break through what’s been holding them back
• Build genuine connections across differences
• Step into their next level of impact, leadership, and income

And I want to walk alongside you as you do that.

This is about individual healing creating collective change. If we get this right, it doesn’t just change lives, it changes communities.

➡️ #4 If you were to choose anyone to have a conversation with, who would it be?

It would be Nelson Mandela or Gandhi.

➡️ #5 Why is this the right time and right place for you right now?

Because I LOVE people! I believe that everyone is doing the very best that they can in the circumstances that they're in. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to have access to great quality support, and that YOU should unleash YOUR true potential and create the life of YOUR dreams!! You deserve it!

Not for the surface-level conversation, but to go deep into human connection, impact, and what it really takes to influence the world at scale while staying grounded in truth.

➡️ #BONUS

If I’m not building this movement, you’ll find me with my family, having deep conversations most people avoid, or holding space for transformation that shifts lives in ways people didn’t think were possible.

I bring a lot of energy, a lot of truth, and a lot of heart.

This space to be one where we all rise.
