Hey! I'm Cathy Domoney!

Who the heck is Cathy Domoney? Well, that's an excellent question, and one I occasionally ask myself at 2 a.m. while eating toast in the kitchen and wondering where all the coffee mugs have disappeared to. I'm a wife, mum of five wonderfully neurodiverse children, coach, author, speaker, educator, community builder, and professional juggler of approximately 473 responsibilities at any given moment. I'm also a FIFO wife, which means I have spent many years mastering the art of solo parenting, talking to myself, and pretending I've got everything under control when, in reality, I'm often making it up as I go along—just like everyone else! Professionally, I'm a multi-award-winning coach and author who has had the privilege of working with CEOs, leaders, entrepreneurs, and people from all walks of life. But honestly? My greatest qualification is simply being human. I've experienced joy, grief, burnout, illness, self-doubt, parenting challenges, friendship challenges, and those moments where life completely knocks you sideways. I've also experienced the incredible healing and transformation that comes when people come together in kindness, compassion, and genuine connection. I created The Backyard Peace Project because I believe we are all craving the same things: to belong, to be seen, to be heard, to matter, and to know that we're not alone. So, if you're looking for a perfect guru with all the answers, that's definitely not me. But if you're looking for someone who will walk alongside you, cheer you on, hold hope for you when you've temporarily misplaced your own, and occasionally make terrible jokes along the way—welcome. You're in the right place. I'm so glad you're here. Before I finish, I have to say just how incredibly fortunate I feel to be surrounded by the most amazing team of experts within this community. Honestly, I still have moments where I look around and think, "How on earth did I get this lucky?" The people you will meet inside The Backyard Peace Project are some of the most generous, knowledgeable, compassionate, and heart-led humans I have ever had the privilege of knowing. They are leaders, coaches, educators, health professionals, authors, advocates, and change-makers who genuinely care about making a difference in the lives of others. Each person brings their own unique wisdom, lived experience, expertise, and gifts to this community, and I can wholeheartedly say that you are in very safe hands. I am constantly learning from them myself, and I feel deeply grateful that they have chosen to share their time, knowledge, and hearts with all of us. So please, make the most of the incredible experts and leaders within this community. Attend the sessions, ask questions, get involved, build relationships, and lean into the collective wisdom that exists here. We really have assembled something very special, and I feel incredibly honoured to be part of such an extraordinary team.
